Crash course in Interstellar Chemistry

My brain is a little bit fried as we spent the last two days learning about chemical reactions when stars are formed and then spent the afternoon in the lab at the university modeling said reactions (or at least trying to).
Tonight we had our welcome dinner at Laekjarbraekka Restaurant which included a three course meal with a wine for each course.
It was quite snazzy. First course was risotto with an Austrian wine, second course was Rudolf, oops I mean reindeer with a Chilean cabernet and thrid course was Iclandic pancakes with a Hungarian dessert wine.
The reindeer was actually quite good. Very tender and flavorfull. I was surprised as I thought it would be "gamey".

Our fearless leader Wolf picked out the wines and did a very nice job of it. We were definitely the "fun table" and have planned to go to Karaoke tomorrow night!

Tomorrow we head to a guided tour of the botanical gardens, to sample a hot spring and then spend the afternoon relaxing at the Blue Lagoon so I am sure I will have plenty of pretty pictures to share tomorrow. It is now 12:11 am and it is still light out so it feels like 9pm.
